Kumar Sanu takes his statements back on Jaan Kumar Sanu and Rita Bhattacharya
Jaan Kumar Sanu’s recent comments on the Marathi language landed him in a bit of trouble with Shivsena and MNS. The political parties had threatened him to take his statement back or else they would stop the shoot of Bigg Boss 14. The contestant and the channel were given a window of 24 hours to make a public apology for disrespecting Marathi and they duly followed. Kumar Sanu had released a video where he slammed his son for making such statements and questioned Rita Bhattacharya’s upbringing.
In his latest video, the playback singer has taken his words back and praised Jaan Kumar Sanu. He also said that his son is a very good man and admitted that he did not want Jaan Kumar Sanu to be a part of the reality show. He said, “My son Jaan is a very good person in real life. He has a very helping nature, but because of the situation inside the Bigg Boss house, he is under pressure. During such challenging times and pressure, you tend to say things which you don't say in normal life. He is too young. His mom has raised them well and all that she could do for them as a mother. I was never happy with his decision of going inside the Bigg Boss house. In fact, whenever he told me about the decision, I always told him I don't like it and you shouldn't go. But ultimately it was his choice as he has been a huge fan of the show. He himself auditioned for it and I didn’t do anything for him in this matter. I didn’t help him in this at all.”
Speaking further on the matter, Kumar Sanu said, “I would definitely want to say one thing to Rahul Vaidya. You are like my son and you sing really well. I have heard your voice and I know you are a good singer. I feel if someone's parents are separated and you keep making that person realise that pain again and again. So surely the person will get hurt and after a point, that person will also react to it. I think as a singer I felt really insulted after hearing all that was said. It is a very normal process according to me that if two people don’t get along and they get separated. They take divorce or start living separately. But if you leave the game aside and start attacking the personal life of someone then that is not good. I know you are a good singer and you are like my son. So I really want both of you to be in the game. You two should stay together with love and understanding. I feel two singers can be good friends. I think when you drag someone's personal life it is not good. I felt really hurt when after 40 years, my personal life was dragged in to fight. I know my son must have also done something wrong, but please stay together. Best of luck to both of you.”
It looks like all’s well between the father-son duo.
