1 Year Of Kabir Singh: Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani share unseen photos, show gratitude for the film's success
One year ago, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh released in theatres. The film went onto become the biggest blockbuster of 2019. One year later on June 21, Shahid and Kiara celebrated the day by sharing unseen photos from the sets of the film.
Sharing a series of photos on Instagram, Kiara Advani captioned them, "Dear Kabir Singh, Happy Anniversary. Love Always, Preeti."
Shahid showed gratitude towards the fans who made the film a blockbuster and also addressed the flawed character that Kabir was. "To all those who gave so much overwhelming love to such a complex, conflicted character. Thank you. #kabirsingh was never just a film to me.. it was an emotional arc that was raw.. bare.. unabashed .. honest .. fearless .. REAL!! In a time where people are quick to judge (others not themselves ) you understood him. You understood our interpretation of the angst of a broken heart. This one will always be special. So so special. And it would just not have been possible without @kiaraaliaadvani , @sandeepreddy.vanga , @muradkhetani and @ashwinvarde @bhushankumar @santha_dop , Payal and so so many others. Directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, Kabir Singh is a remake of a Telugu movie Arjun Reddy (2017), where a short tempered house surgeon gets used to drugs and drinks when his girlfriend is forced to marry another person. Shahid and Kiara played the titular roles whereas Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey played lead roles in the original movie.
